Unrequited Love
With my final set of photographs, I wanted to convey my main theme of preserved beauty which was taken from my very first set and I have done this by freezing the flowers within ice which ultimately freezes nature in action creating a binary opposition which intrigues the viewer. The warmth of the flowers helps to contrast the cold sterility of the ice and creates a visually contrasting composition. I have then incorporated my subtheme of destruction into this set through breaking the composition into sections with a chisel and hammer to convey a sense of brokenness and therefore a drift in nature/what is natural.
